Steel fixer — Stanton County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Stanton County, Nebraska. The job is at a high-rise construction project. Day to day you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
