Brick and block layer — Kit Carson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Kit Carson County, Colorado. You will work at a residential building site. On a typical shift you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. Ideal candidate: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 3+ years on the tools preferred.
