Flatlock machine operator — Nottinghamshire

Now hiring: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Nottinghamshire, England. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance 3+ years on the tools preferred. £2,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
