Now hiring: core maker (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Stark County, Ohio. On the job you will handle: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Six days a week, one day off.
