Core maker • Mahoning County, Ohio

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Mahoning County, Ohio. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Pay around $19 per hour, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
