Foundry labourer wanted in Platte County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Platte County, Nebraska. Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
