Join our team: brick and block layer (Iowa)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Union County, Iowa. You will work at a residential building site. What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Share your details and we will call you back.
