Foundry operative — Union County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Union County, Tennessee. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
