Immediate opening: die-casting operator (Indiana)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Wabash County, Indiana. On the job you will handle: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
