Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Kearny County, Kansas. The job is at a busy garment factory. Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Part-time with flexible hours.
