Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundworker in Madera County, California. You will be based on a road and bridge project. The role involves erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer. Ideal candidate: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
