Banksman — Henry County

Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Henry County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Pay around $28 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
