Vacancy available: foundry labourer (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in City of Danville, Virginia. On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift.
