Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lake County, California. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Part-time with flexible hours.
