Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Esan West, Edo. You will be based on a busy housing site. Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. ₦140,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
