Die-casting operator — Jefferson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
