Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundworker in Calloway County, Kentucky. You will work on a building construction site. The role involves backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns. Requirements: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Physically fit and comfortable working at height Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
