Core maker — Norton County

Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Norton County, Kansas. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Six days a week, one day off.
