Join our team: brick and block layer (South Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Sumter County, South Carolina. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
