Lifting rigger — Routt County

Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Routt County, Colorado. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear 5+ years on the tools preferred.
