Blocklayer • Centre County, Pennsylvania

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
