Site safety steward • Bakassi, Cross River State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a site safety steward in Bakassi, Cross River State. The job is at an oil and gas facility. The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors Requirements: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
