Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Prairie County, Arkansas. The job is on a busy housing site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays.
