We are recruiting: we are hiring a butcher in Harlan County, Kentucky. The job is in a supermarket meat department. You will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
