Core maker wanted in Washington County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Washington County, Mississippi. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
