Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in Perry County, Ohio. You will be based at a shipyard. Your main tasks: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
