Head baker — Camden County

Join our team: we are hiring a head baker in Camden County, Georgia. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. You should have: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving On the job you will handle: • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Score the top of loaves before baking • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe Pay around $230 per day, based on your experience.
