Now hiring: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Wayne County, Indiana. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
