Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. You will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
