Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Ngala, Borno State. The role involves: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time with occasional weekends.
