Immediate opening: shopfront glazier (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shopfront glazier in City of Martinsville, Virginia. The job is on a high-rise facade project. Your main tasks: • Work safely at height on scaffolds and ladders • Cut glass to size using a glass cutter and running pliers • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass • Measure window and door openings and order glass to size • Handle large panes using suction cups and a lifting frame • Fit double-glazed sealed units into frames Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a glazier or glass fitter • Confident handling and lifting heavy glass panes • Comfortable working at height with scaffolding and ladders Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $19 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
