Now hiring: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Webster County, Kentucky. Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
