Immediate opening: garment presser (Missouri)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment presser in Callaway County, Missouri. The job is at a dry cleaner's. On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases 4+ years on the tools preferred. $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
