Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Covington County, Mississippi. On a typical shift you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; season and marinate meat on request. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
