Lifting rigger — Oakland County

Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Oakland County, Michigan. You will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; read lift plans and method statements before starting; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
