Vacancy available: domestic gas engineer (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. The role involves carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation. You should have: • Driving licence for travel between sites • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
