Metal caster — Montmorency County

Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Montmorency County, Michigan. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
