Now hiring: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Bond County, Illinois. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding The role involves control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
