Banksman — Marion County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Marion County, Ohio. You will be based at a container port. On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Part-time with flexible hours.
