Core maker — Union County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Union County, Ohio. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Rotating shifts.
