Safety inspector — Yakurr

Now hiring: we are hiring a safety inspector in Yakurr, Cross River State. On a typical shift you will audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
