Sample machinist wanted in Laclede County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sample machinist in Laclede County, Missouri. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Your main tasks: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Rotating shifts.
