Core maker — Volusia County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Volusia County, Florida. You will be based on the moulding line. You will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 5+ years on the tools preferred.
