Foundry labourer wanted in Orange County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Orange County, New York. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
