Now hiring: lathe operator (Texas)

Join our team: we are hiring a lathe operator in McLennan County, Texas. You will be based in a textile mill. On a typical shift you will report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter; key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line; measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges. Ideal candidate: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
