Heavy equipment operator — Menard County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Menard County, Illinois. The job is at a stone quarry. On a typical shift you will break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely; stockpile and spread material to the required levels; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines. Requirements: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Understanding of safe digging near underground services At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
