Tig welder — Shropshire

Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Shropshire, England. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
