Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
