Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Catron County, New Mexico. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
