Furnace operator — Warren County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Warren County, Mississippi. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
